8:4. വിഗ്രഹാർപ്പിതങ്ങളെ തിന്നുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചോ, ലോകത്തിൽ വിഗ്രഹം ഏതുമില്ല എന്നും ഏകദൈവമല്ലാതെ ദൈവമില്ല എന്നും നാം അറിയുന്നു. പല ദേവന്മാരും പല കർത്താക്കന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

8:4. With regard then to eating food sacrificed to idols, we know that "an idol in this world is nothing," and that "there is no God but one."

8:4. So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God.

8:4. Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.
